SPC-3184 Rev 7 MARVEL Reactor Structures Build to Print Fabrication Specification

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is developing a microreactor to produce electrical power utilizing a small nuclear core and under the Microreactor Application Research Validation and Evaluation (MARVEL) program. This procurement specification defines the requirements for fabrication of the MARVEL Primary Coolant System (PCS), Fuel and Core System (FCS), and Reactor Sub-Structure Assemblies, including the Upper Confinement Structure.

An Examination of the Performance of Parallel Calculation of the Radiation Integral on a Beowulf-Class Computer

This paper uses the parallel calculation of the radiation integral for examination of performance and compiler issues on a Beowulf-class computer. This type of computer, built from mass-market, commodity, off-the-shelf components, has limited communications performance and therefore also has a limited regime of codes for which it is suitable.

A Science Data System Approach for the SMAP Mission

Though Science Data System (SDS) development has not traditionally been part of the mission concept phase, lessons learned and study of past Earth science missions indicate that SDS functionality can greatly benefit algorithm developers in all mission phases. We have proposed a SDS approach for the SMAP Mission that incorporates early support for an algorithm testbed, allowing scientists to develop codes and seamlessly integrate them into the operational SDS. This approach will greatly reduce both the costs and risks involved in algorithm transitioning and SDS development.

Enhancing the ATR Primary Coolant System: A 3D Modeling Approach

The project consisted in system inspections to the ATR Primary Coolant System involving welds, fittings, motors, pumps, flanges, and heat exchangers to enhance Inservice Inspection program as required by DOE orders. NOTE: This article is to be published as "DOE & DOE Contractors Only" in the OPEXShare application, which means it will be available for viewing to DOE & DOE Contractor registered users only. This article can also be used by CAES for their training and safety meetings.
