WFIP3 - BARG site - NREL Profiling Lidar (Windcube v2.1) / Derived Data

This dataset contains derived data from the profiling lidar (Windcube v2.1) deployed at WFIP3's BARG. The derived data files herein are based on the lidar's STA files (i.e., the 10-min average data files). Note: this version of the data has been corrected to account for the motion of the barge.

WFIP3 - BARG site - NREL Profiling Lidar (Windcube v2.1) / Reviewed Data

This dataset contains reviewed data from the profiling lidar (Windcube v2.1) deployed on WFIP3's barge. The reviewed files herein are based on the lidar's RTD files (i.e., the real-time raw data files at near 1 Hz resolution). The data have been corrected for the motion of the ship.

WFIP3 - BARG site - NREL Profiling Lidar (Windcube v2.1) / Raw Data

This dataset contains raw data from NREL's profiling lidar (Windcube v2.1) at the WFIP3 BARG site. Two data types are included here: 1) STA files, which have 10-minute average data, and 2) RTD files, which have real time data, at about 1 Hz resolution. Note: these data have NOT been corrected for the motion of the barge.

Tree Tops Site - Halo Streamline Scanning Lidar High-Frequency Wind Profile / Derived data

This dataset contains wind profiles retrieved from 6-beam Velocity Azimuth Display (VAD) scans done by a Streamline XR Doppler Lidar operated by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and deployed at the Tree Tops site (1.5 km South-West of MLBS site). The wind components (expressed as zonal, meridional and vertical) are retrieved through the algorithm of Paschke et al. (2015). The quality control of the radial wind speed is performed following the algorithm of Foken et al. (2004).
