NeuroFEM

SAND2025-00525O NeuroFEM is a software tool that demonstrates a neuromorphic algorithm for solving finite element problems. It sets up a 2D finite element problem for the Poisson equation on a disk, constructs synaptic matrices, and simulates neural dynamics to solve the resulting sparse linear system. The software illustrates how the algorithm converges to the solution and plots the results, showcasing a neuromorphic counterpart to traditional methods like Conjugate Gradient or GMRES. This tool is designed to highlight the potential of neuromorphic algorithms for solving sparse linear systems, which are prevalent in various computational applications. ForceFinder

SAND2025-11750O ForceFinder extends the Structural Dynamics Python Libraries (SDynPy) with comprehensive tools for inverse source estimation (ISE) tasks via frequency response function (FRF) matrix inversion. The software is designed for transfer path analysis and multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) vibration control problems. It allows users to estimate sources through various algorithms, from the basic Moore-Penrose pseudo-inverse to statistical learning methods such as Tikhonov regularization via an L-curve and elastic net regularization via an information criterion. ForceFinder uses an object-oriented framework, where all components of the ISE problem—such as FRFs, responses, and transformations—are stored in a "SourcePathReceiver" object. This software can be applied to any noise and vibration problem. SetEnvironment

SAND2025-11727O SetEnvironment software is a utility library module that uses ConfigParserEnhanced, also a library module, to read specifically formatted .ini files for setting the user's environment. It creates a consistent environment with an expected set of variables and module loads, which is important for testing. Environment variable operations include set, append, prepend, unset, remove, and others and uses the Python os.environ methods. The module operations are performed with a wrapper. Systems using the Lmod package can generate a module function, which can also perform module operations specified in the text file. Metric DBSCAN

SAND2025-11725O Metric DBSCAN is an implementation of the popular DBSCAN clustering algorithm that works in general metric spaces. DBSCAN is a clustering algorithm, a fundamental building block in machine learning. It takes a set of objects and, given some notion of distance, identifies coherent groups of objects. With Metric DBSCAN, users can provide an arbitrary function to compute distance. Nearly all existing implementations of DBSCAN restrict distance to one of a few formulations. Metric DBScan accomplishes this cleanly and efficiently. The Python source code is on Github.
