A consistent dataset for the net income distribution for 190 countries and aggregated to 32 geographical regions from 1958 to 2015

Abstract. Data on income distributions within and across countries are becoming increasingly important for informing analysis of income inequality and understanding the distributional consequences of climate change. While datasets on income distribution collected from household surveys are available for multiple countries, these datasets often do not represent the same concept of inequality (or income concept) and therefore make comparisons across countries, over time and across datasets difficult. Here, we present a consistent dataset of income distributions across 190 countries from 1958 to 2015 measured in terms of net income. We complement the observed values in this dataset with values imputed from a summary measure of the income distribution, specifically the Gini coefficient. For the imputation, we use a recently developed nonparametric principal-component-based approach that shows an excellent fit to data on income distributions compared to other approaches. We also present another version of this dataset aggregated from the country level to 32 geographical regions. Our dataset is developed for the purpose of calibrating models such as integrated human–Earth system models with detailed data on income distributions. This dataset will enable more robust analysis of income distribution at multiple scales. Original images, ground truth annotations, and precited masks from U-NET for a fungal species x nitrogen experiment

This document describes the “MicroVision-MV003” dataset. This folder contains three subfolders: “originals”, “predicted_masks”, and “gt_masks”. The “originals” folder contains 720 original images acquired using two imaging modalities: 360 images from overhead imaging and 360 images from transmission (raw) imaging. The “predicted_masks” folder contains masks generated by a trained U-Net model for the transmission imaging modality.The “gt_masks” folder contains 326 human hand-traced masks that serve as ground truth.

Twin-spool turbopumps for ''low'' net positive suction pressure operations

Modified single-shaft turbopump incorporates inducer and main pump, each separately driven at different speeds through coaxial-shaft arrangement. Inducer operates at low speed for low net positive suction pressure, main pump operates at high speed to generate high pressure. This arrangement requires no external control for the inducer.

Experimental findings from zero-tank net positive suction head operation of the J-2 hydrogen pump

The results of a series of liquid hydrogen turbopump tests to demonstrate the feasibility of zero-tank net positive suction head are presented. A J-2 engine hydrogen pump and S-IVB stage fuel feed system were used for this investigation. The pump was operated at flows and speeds equivalent to normal J-2 engine operating conditions and at hydrogen bulk temperatures between 39 and 45 R. These tests show zero-tank not positive suction head to be a realistic operating mode that should be considered for future applications.
