Final report for CRADA 2023-01U-JWS02 with UNLV. Final report is required to be provided to OSTI per DOE O 483.1B to close out this joint work statement.
Final report on evaluation of NanoSonic high pressure hydrogen hoses under CRADA 399. NanoSonic hose liners, fiber winding, and hose end crimp fittings were analyzed for material properties, design, and burst test performance. The hose burst pressures exceeded 100 MPa under -130C sub ambient conditions. Hose crimp fittings were found to have some defects from assembly that impacted burst pressures. The use of digital image correlation provided unique insight to the crimped fitting influence on the composite material and the winding pattern during burst testing.
Final report for the Bethel (Alaska) Wind Construction project. Under this project, Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AVEC) constructed and commissioned one new 900 kW-capacity wind turbine at a site in Bethel about 3.3 miles NE of the diesel-fired prime power plant. The wind generator’s output will augment the prime source generation provided by the diesel-powered generators.
Final report for "Novel Lighting Strategies for Circadian and Sleep Health in Shift Work Applications", which was never completed due to an inability to transfer the award when the PI moved institutions.
Final report describing Phase II activities and results from the effort to develop an in situ probe for measuring all phases of water in clouds from an airborne platform.
Final Report summaries of integrated process for commercial production of farnesene, a versatile platform chemical, from domestic lignocellulosic feedstock project. The prime contractor for this project was Amyris, Inc. and the subcontractors were Renmatix Inc. and Total Raffinage Chimie. The aim of the MegaBio program has been to develop a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable process for manufacturing the versatile platform chemical farnesene from renewable cellulosic feedstocks in the United States.
Final report for National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) project involving the use of advanced manufacturing and 3D printing technologies to help address personal protective equipment (PPE) shortages due to COVID-19. Work was performed in support of Joint DOE Laboratory Plan for Manufacturing Medical Supplies and funded through the DOE Office of Science.
