Preoperative partial breast irradiation (PBI) has the potential to induce tumor regression. We evaluated the differences in the numbers of preirradiation tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) between responders and nonresponders after preoperative PBI in low-risk patients with breast cancer.
