Annotated bibliography and indexes on aeronautical engineering and aerodynamics - Nov. 1971
Annotated bibliography and indexes on Aerospace Medicine and Biology for November 1971
This special bibliography lists 283 reports, articles, and other documents introduced into the NASA scientific and technical information system in December, 1971. Emphasis is placed on engineering and theoretical aspects for design, construction, evaluation, testing, operation and performance of aircraft (including aircraft engines), and associated components, equipment and systems. Also included are entries on research and development in aeronautics and aerodynamics and research and ground support for aeronautical vehicles.
Remote infrared sensing as a water exploration technique is demonstrated. Various applications are described, demonstrating that infrared sensors can locate aquifers, geothermal water, water trapped by faults, springs and water in desert regions. The potentiality of airborne IR sensors as a water prospecting tool is considered. Also included is a selected bibliography with abstracts concentrating on those publications which will better acquaint the hydrologist with investigations using thermal remote sensors as applied to water exploration.
This special bibliography lists 363 reports, articles, and other documents introduced into the NASA scientific and technical information system in January 1972. Emphasis is placed on engineering and theoretical aspects for design, construction, evaluation, testing, operation and performance of aircraft (including aircraft engines) and associated components, equipment and systems. Also included are entries on research and development in aeronautics and aerodynamics and research and ground support for aeronautical vehicles.

This special bibliography lists 348 reports, articles, and other documents introduced into the NASA scientific and technical information system in March 1972.
This special bibliography lists 456 reports, articles, and other documents introduced into the NASA scientific and technical information system in April 1972.
A bibliography of information pertinent to the problem of simulating plants is presented. Detailed simulations of constituent pieces are necessary to justify simple models which may be used for analysis. Thus, this area of study is necessary to support the Earth Resources Program. The report sums up the present state of the problem of simulating vegetation. This area holds the hope of major benefits to mankind through understanding the ecology of a region and in improving agricultural yield.
