Code associated with Publication “Analytic Solutions and Field-Scale Application for Verification of Coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical Processes in Subsurface Fractured Media”

As part of a submitted paper, which is collection of previously published analytical solutions to coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical problems in subsurface flow and transport, we have prepared a collection of python scripts to compute and plot those analytic solutions. All code to be released implements existing methods; there are no novel algorithms nor any major innovations to existing software.

DeepLensSBI: Deep inference of simulated strong lenses in ground-based surveys

This code is used to train and test machine learning models and generate results and plots presented in 2501.08524 [astro-ph.IM]. The code is written in python. The goal of this work is to train ML models trained on simulated images of strong gravitational lenses. The trained model can then quickly infer properties of the lensed objects with uncertainty quantification.

OpenFerro v0.1.0

OpenFerro is a Python package for on-lattice atomistic dynamics simulation of ferroic materials. OpenFerro is based on JAX, a high-performance linear algebra package supporting auto-differentiation and GPU acceleration. OpenFerro is designed to minimize the effort required to build on-lattice Hamiltonian models, and to perform molecular dynamics (MD) and Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert simulations. Unlike existing codes, OpenFerro provides a unified interface to model different types of local order parameters.

Web Based Beamline Control System (Bluesky Web) v0.1.0

Bluesky Web is a web based interface that provides beam line controls to the end user. It allows users to issue commands to various physical devices at a beam line end station like motors and cameras. It utilizes an open source Python library (Bluesky) as the controller. It uses Bluesky to also allow for running "plans" or a sequence of device operations that can be used when running an experiment. This program is different from other controls technologies because it is intended to be open source and can be accessed from a web browser, as opposed to other paid software that is run as a stand-alone application on a computer.

OPTICHEM (OPTimizer for Industrial CHEMical pathways) [SWR-25-70]

Using alternative feedstocks such as biomass and waste could help the chemical sector address growing challenges from supply chain disruptions. This project aims to identify optimal combinations of chemical production pathways that achieve user-defined priorities within set resource constraints. This project contains two main Python modules that work together to perform multi-objective optimization of feedstock usage and post-optimization analysis. The outputs from both modules (e.g., CSV files, PDF diagrams, HTML reports, and pickle files) are automatically saved in dedicated output folders. The folder names include key parameters such as the optimization metric, target year, and whether 2030 results are fixed.

WHOC (Wind Hybrid Open Controller) [SWR-25-54]

The Wind Hybrid Open Controller (WHOC) is a python-based tool for real-time plant-level wind farm control and wind-based hybrid plant control. WHOC is primarily run in simulation, although we intend that it could be used for physical plants in future. WHOC provides simple farm-level (and hybrid plant-level) controls such as wake steering control, spatial filtering/consensus, active power control, and coordinated control of hybrid power plant assets; and creates an entry point for the development of more advanced controllers.

pdas-experiments

SAND2025-04589O pdas-experiments automates computational experiments of fluid flow simulations. It uses the pressio-demoapps-schwarz package as a basis to break down complex simulations into smaller, manageable parts. This application is an extension of the Sandia Pressio software which uses domain decomposition to work with complex simulations more efficiently. Users can test different simulation setups, while keeping a detailed record of their experiments so they can be reproduced later. The software includes a C++ program that runs individual experiments based on user-defined settings in a YAML file, as well as a Python script that can manage multiple simulations at once. Sandia National Laboratories is a multimission laboratory managed and operated by National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc., for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration under contract DE-NA0003525.

DiMER

SAND2025-04145O DiMER is a Python based tool that helps researchers understand the functions of genes by searching through multiple biological databases. It takes user-provided data and scans various databases to find the best matches for gene functions, generating a clear summary of results. DiMER identifies the most relevant functional annotations and improves upon previous annotations by replacing instances of "unknown protein function" with more accurate descriptions. DiMER requires minimal setup.
