Talk for AVS-Tampa Retarding field energy analyzer data on MoS2
Virtual reality (VR) gaming has experienced increasingly widespread adoption in recent years largely due to the development of affordable, consumer-grade headsets equipped with high quality, miniature displays and compact sensors for motion tracking. These devices are now able to provide users with immersive experiences that far surpass what traditional video games can achieve. However, despite these technological strides, a fundamental limitation remains: VR users are unable to move freely in their physical environment without the risk of colliding with real-world obstacles and hazards. This safety concern significantly restricts the level of immersion and natural movement possible in VR gaming.

The G10 magnets are a set of four ferrite kickers in the AGS used to extract beam into the AtR (and typically on to RHIC). A single G10 module current pulse is about 400 ns long with little pulse flattop. Each module has an individual delay trigger, which can be manipulated to change the time spacing between these 4 pulses to form different sum pulses. We will describe several configurations for extraction at different energies below the nominal AGS to RHIC transfer energy (~9.8 GeV/n).

The following report consists of measurements on passive and active photonic components fabricated by AIM Photonics as part of their QFlex platform, which at the time of fabrication was in its beta form (version 0.6). This report is broken down into electrical and optical testing that was done on the chips.
Many beyond standard model theories predict the existence of long-lived particles (LLPs). These LLPs can have sizable lifetimes and decay several meters from their production vertex. In this poster/talk, we present the analysis strategy for searching for LLPs using the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Experiment. The proton-proton collision data used in this analysis were collected from 2022 to 2024 at a center-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 170 fb^-1. The LLP decays are reconstructed as a high-multiplicity cluster of detector hits in the cathode strip chambers (CSC) of the muon system endcap. This signature is referred to as the Muon Detector Showers (MDS). This search requires events to contain at least one MDS cluster. The analysis focuses on LLP hadronic decays and LLP masses up to a few tens of GeV. We present the signal properties in MonteCarlo simulation, event selection, background modeling, and evaluation of the expected sensitivity. The results are interpreted under the Twin Higgs model benchmark.
This material will be presented at the Interagency Advanced Power Group (IAPG) Chemical Working Group and Safety Panel Meeting. IAPG serves as the premier organization coordinating the collaboration and information exchange of advanced power research and development within the U.S. government.

Transportation system simulation is a widely accepted approach to evaluate the impact of transport policy deployment. In developing a transportation system deployment model, the energy impact of the model is extremely valuable for sustainability and validation. It is expected that different penetration levels of Connected-Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) will impact travel behavior due to changes in potential factors such as congestion, miles traveled, etc. Along with such impact analyses, it is also important to further quantify the regional energy impact of CAV deployment under different factors of interest. The objective of this paper is to study the energy consumption of electrified vehicles in the future for different penetration levels of CAVs deployment in the City of Chicago. The paper will further provide a statistical analysis of the results to evaluate the impact of the different penetration levels on the different electrified powertrains used in the study.
