A general overview of the DRACO computational chemistry model including model geometry, input decks, and validation.
Supporting information for LDRD report of thermochemical and thermophysical properties for the system of Ce metal and Ce hydride (deuteride). Knowledge of these properties is necessary in order to properly build a physics based model of the Ce ejecta evolution (conversion) in high pressure hydrogen gas.
The project involves the installation and activation of 42 roof-top or ground mount solar photovoltaic systems. The system will use a combination of roof-top photovoltaic panels and ground-mounted panels that will be installed on 40 tribal homes and 2 tribal buildings throughout the three participating reservations. The scope of work includes site preparation, equipment installation, system testing, and inspection by a third-party inspector, system activation, troubleshooting, and final activation. It also includes any electrical system upgrades, which are anticipated to accommodate the new PV system. The system will displace at least 50% of the combined total of electricity needed by the participating structures. Implementing these systems will also provide hands-on solar installation training to at least 20 Tribal community volunteers and job trainees.
This presentation covers site hydrogeologic setting (including geologic setting and faults and fractures), groundwater monitoring for RLWTF, monitoring well locations, monitoring suite and frequency, quality of wells, and defense in depth – groundwater monitoring coupled with use of engineering controls and visual inspections. The objectives of groundwater monitoring are early detection of any future noncompliant releases, providing additional safety net to support extensive administrative and engineering controls, and monitoring to characterize extent of groundwater effected by noncompliant discharge.
The purpose of this work is to determine MTD effectiveness and cost for protecting non-IP C2 networks, experiment on networks used in satellite systems, and randomize features (e.g. device address) to prevent adversary from conducting reconnaissance.

Quantitative theoretical model for the experiment from was developed and verified in an independent experiment in IOTA. It helped corroborate a model of intrabeam scattering in IOTA. The agreement is expected to improve in the future. It was shown that along with measurements of longitudinal bunch size the fluctuations can be used to measure transverse bunch size in some cases (e.g., in IOTA). Improvements as compared to the similar experiment: Better precision due to using the comb filter with one-turn delay and the special noise subtraction algorithm. In IOTA, fluctuations were two orders of magnitude smaller. Fluctuations data were collected for different values of bunch charge. The transition from Poisson statistics to Super-Poisson statistics was observed in undulator radiation for the first time.
Scope of the talk: Disclaimer and practical limitations: This is just a sample of the work from the DOE labs that I am most familiar with and is selection biased. There are a lot of efforts on-going that includes medical applications which is not the focus of this talk. The materials were prepared by each contact at the respective lab who were willing to consolidate the laboratory efforts in this area. If something piques your interest, let me know I will be happy to connect you the right person. Universities, several other agencies, and industries are working on modern machines some of which I am aware of but was not the focus of this talk. Books, national and international conferences, workshops are active on every single topic mentioned here. Please contact me and I will do my best to assist you to the right ones.

This presentation pays tribute to the career of Paul Mackenzie.

BHs are sources of neutrinos in mass eigenstates. The PBH evaporation depends on whether neutrinos are Dirac or Majorana particles. In the Dirac scenario, there is not a helicity suppression of the emission of righthanded neutrinos. We derived a constraint on the initial PBH fraction given the measurement of Neff by Planck. For certain values, it is possible to ease the Hubble measurement tension. The diffuse flux of RH neutrinos can be large, but more careful analysis on its possible detection should be performed.
LANSCE is a NNSA Center for Materials and Nuclear Research. An aging stockpile presents unique challenges in materials and nuclear science. The grand challenge of a predictive materials capability includes design to manufacture and born certified. This requires capability to study manufacture to structure relationships and capability to study structure to performance relationships. LANSCE has the capabilities needed for this mission. We leverage our capability to provide broader benefit to the Nation including production of medical isotopes, industrial irradiation facility for electronics certification, and fundamental materials and physics research. The LANSCE linear accelerator is nearly 50 years old. The severity of maintenance issues is increasing. We must reinvest in LANSCE to ensure mission delivery into the future. We must develop new capability to be responsive to changing mission needs. Ultimately this will require a Dynamic Mesoscale Materials Science Capability. Now we must develop a pathway to MaRIE that ensures continued operation of LANSCE.
This is a presentation to be sent to various DOE sites as a reference for LANL's Motorcycle Safety Committee and includes how to start and sustain a safety committee and organize events. Examples from LANL's program are included. Contacts from Los Alamos National Lab, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, and Idaho National Lab are provided.
Partnerships ensure a strong Laboratory and support our missions. This presentation introduces partnerships then discusses institutes and university engagement, industrial partnerships, and regional pueblos.
