This paper explores the potential for unifying interferometric and polarimetric data by simultaneous analysis in order to estimate vegetation and surface characteristics.
We examine the sources of error in interferometrically-derived ice-motion measurements, including those errors due to inaccurate estimates of the interferometric baseline.

This paper discusses processing of interferometric signal to measure ocean topography.
Polarimetric radar interferometry is much more sensitive to the distribution of oriented objects in a vegetated land surface than either polarimetry on interferometry alone. This paper shows that single-baseline polarimetric interferometry can be used to estimate vegetation heights and underlying topography, while at least two baselines are needed for randomly oriented volumes.
Satellite radar interferometry is a powerful technique to measure the surface velocity and topography of glacier ice. On ice shelves, a quadruple difference technique separates tidal motion from the steady creep flow deformation of ice.
