3013 Surveillance Program Interim Summary Report (FY16-FY21)

The K-Area Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) requires the facility participate in the SRS Site Surveillance Program as a part of Shipping Package Qualification and Storage Surveillance Program. The Site Surveillance Program outlines activities for field surveillance and laboratory tests that demonstrate the 3013 containers meet the functional performance requirements described in the DSA. The SRS Surveillance Program also supports the complex-wide Integrated Surveillance Program (ISP) for 3013 containers in accordance with DOESTD-3013. The purpose of this report is to provide a summary of the SRS portion of the surveillance program activities from FY16 through FY21 and formally communicate the interpretation of these results by the Surveillance Program Authority (SPA).

Composite Analysis for Low-Level Waste Disposal in the Central Plateau of the Hanford Site (Annual Summary Report (FY 2023))

In accordance with DOE M 435.1-1 requirements and as implemented by DOE/RL-2000-29, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations Office has prepared this annual summary for fiscal year (FY) 2023 for maintenance of the Hanford Site Composite Analysis reported in DOE/RL-2019-52 (hereinafter referred to as the updated Hanford Site Composite Analysis). This is the first annual summary report to transition from maintenance of the initial Hanford Site Composite Analysis reported in PNNL-11800 and PNNL-11800, Addendum 1 to maintenance of the updated Hanford Site Composite Analysis following DOE approval of that update.

Summary report of Committee B

Topics discussed in this summary include: (1) general aviation and services; (2) aircraft design; and (3) simulation. It was concluded that private pilots need to be more knowledgeable about weather. Improvement is needed in providing general aviation pilots with changes in the weather reporting and forecasting systems. There should also be some simulation of various severe shear profiles in training simulators, although there is still a problem in simulating shear conditions using mathematical models and data.

Report to the administrator by the NASA Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel on the Skylab program. Volume 1: Summary report

Contractor and NASA technical management for the development and manufacture of the Skylab modules is reviewed with emphasis on the following management controls: configuration and interface management; vendor control; and quality control of workmanship. A review of the modified two-stage Saturn V launch vehicle which focused on modifications to accommodate the Skylab payload; resolution of prior flight anomalies; and changes in personnel and management systems is presented along with an evaluation of the possible age-life and storage problems for the Saturn 1-B launch vehicle. The NASA program management's visibility and control of contractor operations, systems engineering and integration, the review process for the evaluation of design and flight hardware, and the planning process for mission operations are investigated. It is concluded that the technical management system for development and fabrication of the modules, spacecraft, and launch vehicles, the process of design and hardware acceptance reviews, and the risk assessment activities are satisfactory. It is indicated that checkout activity, integrated testing, and preparations for and execution of mission operation require management attention.
