Search for e + e − → φ χ c 0 and φ η c 2 ( 1 D ) at center-of-mass energies from 4.47 to 4.95 GeV

Utilizing a dataset of 6.7 fb − 1 from electron-positron collisions recorded by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, a search is conducted for the processes e + e − → ϕ χ c 0 and ϕ η c 2 ( 1 D ) across center-of-mass energies from 4.47 to 4.95 GeV. In the absence of any significant signals, upper limits are set. These include limits on the dressed cross sections for e + e − → ϕ χ c 0 , as well as the product of the dressed cross section for e + e − → ϕ η c 2 ( 1 D ) and a sum of five branching fractions. Furthermore, the product of the electronic width of Y ( 4660 ) and the branching fraction of the Y ( 4660 ) → ϕ χ c 0 , denoted as Γ e + e − Y ( 4660 ) B Y ( 4660 ) → ϕ χ c 0 , is determined to be < 0.35 eV at the 90% confidence level. Search for η c ( 2 S ) → ω ω and ω ϕ and measurements of χ c J → ω ω and ω ϕ in ψ ( 2 S ) radiative processes

Using ( 2712 ± 14 ) × 10 6 ψ ( 2 S ) events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the decays η c ( 2 S ) → ω ω and η c ( 2 S ) → ω ϕ via the process ψ ( 2 S ) → γ η c ( 2 S ) . No statistically significant signals are observed. The upper limits of their product branching fractions at the 90% confidence level are determined to be B ( ψ ( 2 S ) → γ η c ( 2 S ) , η c ( 2 S ) → ω ω ) < 1.04 × 10 − 6 and B ( ψ ( 2 S ) → γ η c ( 2 S ) , η c ( 2 S ) → ω ϕ ) < 1.85 × 10 − 7 , respectively. We also update the branching fractions of χ c J → ω ω and χ c J → ω ϕ via the ψ ( 2 S ) → γ χ c J transition. Their branching fractions are determined to be B ( χ c 0 → ω ω ) = ( 10.66 ± 0.11 ± 0.57 ) × 10 − 4 , B ( χ c 1 → ω ω ) = ( 6.43 ± 0.07 ± 0.31 ) × 10 − 4 , B ( χ c 2 → ω ω ) = ( 8.75 ± 0.08 ± 0.42 ) × 10 − 4 , B ( χ c 0 → ω ϕ ) = ( 1.18 ± 0.03 ± 0.07 ) × 10 − 4 , B ( χ c 1 → ω ϕ ) = ( 2.04 ± 0.15 ± 0.11 ) × 10 − 5 , and B ( χ c 2 → ω ϕ ) = ( 9.58 ± 1.07 ± 0.76 ) × 10 − 6 , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. Using a sample of ( 2712 ± 14 ) × 10 6 ψ ( 3686 ) events collected with the BESIII detector, we perform partial wave analyses of the decays ψ ( 3686 ) → p p ¯ π 0 and ψ ( 3686 ) → p p ¯ η . The branching fractions of ψ ( 3686 ) → p p ¯ π 0 and ψ ( 3686 ) → p p ¯ η are determined to be ( 133.9 ± 11.2 ± 2.3 ) × 10 − 6 or ( 183.7 ± 13.7 ± 3.2 ) × 10 − 6 and ( 61.5 ± 6.5 ± 1.1 ) × 10 − 6 or ( 84.4 ± 6.9 ± 1.4 ) × 10 − 6 , respectively, where the two solutions are caused by an ambiguous phase angle between resonant and continuum processes. Several well-established N * states are observed in the p π 0 and p η systems, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of decay widths Γ N ( 1535 ) → N η / Γ N ( 1535 ) → N π is determined to be 0.99 ± 0.05 ± 0.19 . Published by the American Physical Society 2025

Observation of η c ( 1 S , 2 S ) and χ c J decays to 2 ( π + π − ) η via ψ ( 3686 ) radiative transitions

Based on ( 2712.4 ± 14.1 ) × 10 6 ψ ( 3686 ) decays collected with the BESIII detector, we have observed, for the first time, the hadronic decays of S- and P-wave charmonium states into 2 ( π + π − ) η via radiative transitions from ψ ( 3686 ) . The branching fraction of the decay η c ( 1 S ) → 2 ( π + π − ) η has a significant dependence on the interference pattern between η c ( 1 S ) and non- η c ( 1 S ) processes. We measure it in both the destructive and constructive interference scenarios for the first time. The mass and width of the η c ( 1 S ) are measured to be M = ( 2984.14 ± 0.13 ± 0.38 ) MeV / c 2 and Γ = ( 28.82 ± 0.11 ± 0.82 ) MeV , respectively. Clear signals for the decays of the χ c J ( J = 0 , 1 , 2 ) and the η c ( 2 S ) to 2 ( π + π − ) η are also observed for the first time, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of the branching fractions between the η c ( 2 S ) and η c ( 1 S ) decays is significantly lower than the theoretical prediction, which might suggest different dynamics in their decays. Their decay branching fractions are determined to be B [ D + → K ¯ 1 ( 1270 ) 0 μ + ν μ ] = ( 2.36 ± 0.2 0 − 0.27 + 0.18 ± 0.48 ) × 10 − 3 and B [ D 0 → K 1 ( 1270 ) − μ + ν μ ] = ( 0.78 ± 0.1 1 − 0.09 + 0.05 ± 0.15 ) × 10 − 3 , where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively, and the third originates from the input branching fraction of K ¯ 1 ( 1270 ) 0 → K − π + π 0 or K 1 ( 1270 ) − → K − π + π − . Combining our branching fractions with the previous measurements of B [ D + → K ¯ 1 ( 1270 ) 0 e + ν e ] and B [ D 0 → K 1 ( 1270 ) − e + ν e ] , we determine the branching fraction ratios to be B [ D + → K ¯ 1 ( 1270 ) 0 μ + ν μ ] / B [ D + → K ¯ 1 ( 1270 ) 0 e + ν e ] = 1.03 ± 0.14 − 0.15 + 0.11 and B [ D 0 → K 1 ( 1270 ) − μ + ν μ ] / B [ D 0 → K 1 ( 1270 ) − e + ν e ] = 0.74 ± 0.13 − 0.13 + 0.08 . Using the branching fractions measured in this work and the world-average lifetimes of the D + and D 0 mesons, we determine the semimuonic partial decay width ratio to be Γ [ D + → K ¯ 1 ( 1270 ) 0 μ + ν μ ] / Γ [ D 0 → K 1 ( 1270 ) − μ + ν μ ] = 1.22 ± 0.10 − 0.09 + 0.06 , which is consistent with unity as predicted by isospin conservation. Using a fully differential angular description of the final state particles, both the relative magnitude and phase information of the Σ + electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region are extracted. The relative phase between the electric and magnetic form factors is determined to be sin Δ Φ = − 0.67 ± 0.29 ( stat ) ± 0.18 ( syst ) at s = 2.3960 GeV , Δ Φ = 55 ° ± 19 ° ( stat ) ± 14 ° ( syst ) at s = 2.6454 GeV , and 78 ° ± 22 ° ( stat ) ± 9 ° ( syst ) at s = 2.9000 GeV . Observation of D s + → η ′ μ + ν μ , Precision Test of Lepton Flavor Universality with D s + → η ( ′ ) l + ν l , and First Measurements of D s + → η ( ′ ) μ + ν μ Decay Dynamics

Combined with the results for the decays D s + → η e + ν e and D s + → η ′ e + ν e , the ratios of the decay widths are examined both inclusively and in several ℓ + ν ℓ four-momentum transfer ranges. No evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found within the current statistics. Investigation of the Δ I = 1 / 2 Rule and Test of C P Symmetry through the Measurement of Decay Asymmetry Parameters in Ξ − Decays

Using ( 10 087 ± 44 ) × 10 6 J / ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, numerous Ξ − and Λ decay asymmetry parameters are simultaneously determined from the process J / ψ → Ξ − Ξ ¯ + → Λ ( p π − ) π − Λ ¯ ( n ¯ π 0 ) π + and its charge-conjugate channel. The precisions of α Λ 0 for Λ → n π 0 and α ¯ Λ 0 for Λ ¯ → n ¯ π 0 compared to world averages are improved by factors of 4 and 1.7, respectively. The ratio of decay asymmetry parameters of Λ → n π 0 to that of Λ → p π − , ⟨ α Λ 0 ⟩ / ⟨ α Λ − ⟩ , is determined to be 0.873 ± 0.01 2 − 0.010 + 0.011 , where the first and the second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.
