The ENDF/B-VIII.0 Compendium Volume IV: Radioactive Decay Rank-Order Analyses

Version 8 of the Evaluated Nuclear Data File (ENDF/B-VIII.0) contains a wealth of nuclear data representing the most recent collection of evaluated neutron cross section measurements, isotopic radioactive decay, and much more. This Compendium has been prepared as a easily-navigable reference of the contents of the ENDF/B-VIII.0 library, while making no statement regarding the accuracy of those contents. The Compendium is split into four volumes. In Volume IV, radioactive decay properties are presented in tabular form, sorted by isotope, energy, element-then- energy, and probability of emission.

The ENDF/B-VIII.0 Compendium Volume II: Neutron Cross Section Rank-Order Analyses

Volume II presents a series of tables of reaction cross section values for thermal (0.025 eV), fission (1 MeV), and fusion (14 MeV) energies, each sorted by cross section value, isotope, and element-then-isotope to facilitate quick searches.

Document Retrieval and Ranking using Similarity Graph Mean Hitting Times

We present a novel approach to information retrieval and document analysis based on graph analytic methods. Traditional information retrieval methods use a set of terms to define a query that is applied against a document corpus to identify the documents most related to those terms. In contrast, we define a query as a set of documents of interest and apply the query by computing mean hitting times between this set and all other documents on a document similarity graph abstraction of the semantic relationships between all pairs of documents. We present the steps of our approach along with a simple example application illustrating how this approach can be used to find documents related to two or more documents or topics of interest.

LAMP Low-Energy Region Options: Workshop Report and Ranking Assessment

The LANSCE accelerator complex at Los Alamos National Laboratory provides beam to five user facilities: IPF, pRad, UCN, WNR and the Lujan Center. Each user facility receives a beam tailored to its specific requirements, including species (H+ or H- ) and beam pulse format. The capabilities and beam requirements of the LANSCE user facilities are documented elsewhere. The core components of the LANSCE accelerator complex – the beam source area, drift-tube and cavity-coupled linear accelerators – are more than 50 years old; a critical subsystem for beam delivery to the Lujan Center, the proton storage ring (PSR), is approximately 40 years old, with its last major refresh being completed in the late 1990s. The LAMP project is intended to begin a revitalization and update of the LANSCE accelerator complex, starting with the beam source region, drift-tube linac, and PSR.

Ranking and Classifying AI Benchmarks

We created a set of standards to efficiently evaluate AI benchmarks through objective means. Although prevalent, especially in recent times, AI benchmarks have no single way to measure their effectiveness. The MLCommons team provided a set of criteria for evaluating benchmarks, although the criteria lacks a clearly defined set of evaluation rules. We created a rubric with preset factors to efficiently and objectively evaluate a benchmark s quality. We created a software framework for processing lists of benchmarks for visualization. The framework and rating system allows researchers to quickly check if their benchmarks are effective.
