Materials Data on Re2Pt(CO)12 by Materials Project
(Re)2Pt(CO)2(CO)10 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of ten formaldehyde molecules, two rhenium molecules, and one Pt(CO)2 cluster. In the Pt(CO)2 cluster, Pt2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent C+1.33+ atoms. Both Pt–C bond lengths are 1.90 Å. C+1.33+ is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to one Pt2- and one O2- atom. The C–O bond length is 1.16 Å. O2- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one C+1.33+ atom.
