PdCd is Tetraauricupride structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Cd atoms. All Pd–Cd bond lengths are 2.85 Å. Cd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Pd atoms.
PdCd(CN)6 crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pd2+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six equivalent C+2.33+ atoms. All Pd–C bond lengths are 2.02 Å. Cd2+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six equivalent N3- atoms. All Cd–N bond lengths are 2.34 Å. C+2.33+ is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pd2+ and one N3- atom. The C–N bond length is 1.17 Å. N3- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd2+ and one C+2.33+ atom.
