Materials Data on Ce3SiPd5 by Materials Project

Ce3Pd5Si crystallizes in the orthorhombic Imma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to ten Pd and one Si atom. There are a spread of Ce–Pd bond distances ranging from 2.97–3.22 Å. The Ce–Si bond length is 3.19 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to ten Pd and one Si atom. There are a spread of Ce–Pd bond distances ranging from 2.94–3.43 Å. The Ce–Si bond length is 3.03 Å. There are two inequivalent Pd sites. In the first Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six Ce, four Pd, and one Si atom. There are a spread of Pd–Pd bond distances ranging from 2.91–3.05 Å. The Pd–Si bond length is 2.51 Å. In the second Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to six Ce, four equivalent Pd, and two equivalent Si atoms. Both Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.46 Å. Si is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three Ce and six Pd atoms.

Materials Data on Ce(SiPd)2 by Materials Project

CePd2Si2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce4+ is bonded to eight equivalent Si4- atoms to form CeSi8 hexagonal bipyramids that share corners with sixteen equivalent PdSi4 tetrahedra, edges with four equivalent CeSi8 hexagonal bipyramids, edges with eight equivalent PdSi4 tetrahedra, and faces with four equivalent CeSi8 hexagonal bipyramids. All Ce–Si bond lengths are 3.19 Å. Pd2+ is bonded to four equivalent Si4- atoms to form PdSi4 tetrahedra that share corners with eight equivalent CeSi8 hexagonal bipyramids, corners with four equivalent PdSi4 tetrahedra, edges with four equivalent CeSi8 hexagonal bipyramids, and edges with four equivalent PdSi4 tetrahedra. All Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.49 Å. Si4- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ce4+, four equivalent Pd2+, and one Si4- atom. The Si–Si bond length is 2.35 Å.

Materials Data on Ce3(Si3Pd10)2 by Materials Project

Ce3Pd20Si6 crystallizes in the trigonal R3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are three inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four Pd atoms. There are three shorter (2.73 Å) and one longer (2.74 Å) Ce–Pd bond lengths. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four Pd atoms. There are one shorter (2.73 Å) and three longer (2.74 Å) Ce–Pd bond lengths. In the third Ce site, Ce is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight Pd atoms. All Ce–Pd bond lengths are 2.69 Å. There are seven inequivalent Pd sites. In the first Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Si atoms. Both Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.37 Å. In the second Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Ce and three equivalent Si atoms. All Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.72 Å. In the third Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Si atoms. Both Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.37 Å. In the fourth Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Ce and three equivalent Si atoms. All Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.72 Å. In the fifth Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Si atoms. Both Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.37 Å. In the sixth Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Ce and three Si atoms. All Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.72 Å. In the seventh Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Ce and three Si atoms. All Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.72 Å. There are two inequivalent Si sites. In the first Si site, Si is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to eight Pd atoms. In the second Si site, Si is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to eight Pd atoms.

Ce2Pd14Si crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to sixteen Pd atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Pd bond distances ranging from 3.08–3.21 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Pd atoms. There are four shorter (2.82 Å) and four longer (2.95 Å) Ce–Pd bond lengths. There are four inequivalent Pd sites. In the first Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to one Ce, one Pd, and one Si atom. The Pd–Pd bond length is 2.91 Å. The Pd–Si bond length is 2.41 Å. In the second Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two Ce, two equivalent Pd, and one Si atom. Both Pd–Pd bond lengths are 2.91 Å. The Pd–Si bond length is 2.47 Å. In the third Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two Ce and two equivalent Pd atoms. Both Pd–Pd bond lengths are 2.64 Å. In the fourth Pd site, Pd is bonded to two equivalent Ce and ten Pd atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing PdCe2Pd10 cuboctahedra. Si is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Pd atoms.

Materials Data on Ce3(Si3Pd10)2 by Materials Project

Ce3Pd20Si6 crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a cuboctahedral geometry to twelve equivalent Pd atoms. All Ce–Pd bond lengths are 3.02 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a distorted tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent Pd atoms. All Ce–Pd bond lengths are 2.87 Å. There are two inequivalent Pd sites. In the first Pd site, Pd is bonded to one Ce and three equivalent Si atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing PdCeSi3 tetrahedra. All Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.49 Å. In the second Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one Ce and two equivalent Si atoms. Both Pd–Si bond lengths are 2.44 Å. Si is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Pd atoms.

Materials Data on Ce3(SiPd)4 by Materials Project

Ce3Pd4Si4 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded to four equivalent Pd and eight equivalent Si atoms to form a mixture of face and edge-sharing CeSi8Pd4 cuboctahedra. All Ce–Pd bond lengths are 3.16 Å. All Ce–Si bond lengths are 3.18 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to eight Pd and six Si atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Pd bond distances ranging from 3.18–3.31 Å. There are two shorter (3.17 Å) and four longer (3.19 Å) Ce–Si bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Pd sites. In the first Pd site, Pd is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to six Ce and three Si atoms. There are two shorter (2.43 Å) and one longer (2.44 Å) Pd–Si bond lengths. In the second Pd site, Pd is bonded to four equivalent Ce and four equivalent Si atoms to form a mixture of distorted face and edge-sharing PdCe4Si4 tetrahedra. There are two shorter (2.43 Å) and two longer (2.50 Å) Pd–Si bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Si sites. In the first Si site, Si is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ce and five Pd atoms. In the second Si site, Si is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to six Ce, two equivalent Pd, and one Si atom. The Si–Si bond length is 2.39 Å.
