Materials Data on EuGePt by Materials Project

EuPtGe crystallizes in the cubic P2_13 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Pt and four equivalent Ge atoms. There are three shorter (3.26 Å) and one longer (3.37 Å) Eu–Pt bond lengths. There are three shorter (3.28 Å) and one longer (3.45 Å) Eu–Ge bond lengths. Pt is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and three equivalent Ge atoms. All Pt–Ge bond lengths are 2.42 Å. Ge is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and three equivalent Pt atoms.

Materials Data on Eu(GePt)2 by Materials Project

Eu(PtGe)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to nine Pt and nine Ge atoms. There are a spread of Eu–Pt bond distances ranging from 3.33–3.81 Å. There are a spread of Eu–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.35–3.86 Å. There are two inequivalent Pt sites. In the first Pt site, Pt is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and four equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Pt–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.62–2.73 Å. In the second Pt site, Pt is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Eu and five Ge atoms. There are a spread of Pt–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.66–2.69 Å. There are two inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and four equivalent Pt atoms. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Eu and five Pt atoms.

Materials Data on Eu(Ge3Pt)4 by Materials Project

Eu(PtGe3)4 crystallizes in the cubic Im-3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded to twelve equivalent Ge atoms to form EuGe12 cuboctahedra that share faces with eight equivalent PtGe6 octahedra. All Eu–Ge bond lengths are 3.39 Å. Pt is bonded to six equivalent Ge atoms to form PtGe6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent PtGe6 octahedra and faces with two equivalent EuGe12 cuboctahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 60°. All Pt–Ge bond lengths are 2.54 Å. Ge is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one Eu, two equivalent Pt, and two equivalent Ge atoms. There are one shorter (2.58 Å) and one longer (2.66 Å) Ge–Ge bond lengths.

In the first Pt site, Pt is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and five Ge atoms. There are a spread of Pt–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.49–2.56 Å. In the second Pt site, Pt is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and four equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Pt–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.54–2.57 Å. There are two inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and five Pt atoms. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu and four equivalent Pt atoms.
