Materials Data on LiF by Materials Project

LiF is Halite, Rock Salt structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Li1+ is bonded to six equivalent F1- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing LiF6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Li–F bond lengths are 2.04 Å. F1- is bonded to six equivalent Li1+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing FLi6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°.
