Materials Data on NpF3 by Materials Project

NpF3 is Sodium arsenide structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np3+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to eleven F1- atoms. There are five shorter (2.40 Å) and six longer (2.70 Å) Np–F bond lengths. There are two inequivalent F1- sites. In the first F1- site, F1- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Np3+ atoms. In the second F1- site, F1- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent Np3+ atoms.

Materials Data on NpF4 by Materials Project

NpF4 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Np4+ sites. In the first Np4+ site, Np4+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight F1- atoms. There are a spread of Np–F bond distances ranging from 2.26–2.35 Å. In the second Np4+ site, Np4+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight F1- atoms. There are a spread of Np–F bond distances ranging from 2.24–2.31 Å. There are seven inequivalent F1- sites. In the first F1- site, F1- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to two equivalent Np4+ atoms. In the second F1- site, F1- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to two Np4+ atoms. In the third F1- site, F1- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two Np4+ atoms. In the fourth F1- site, F1- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to two Np4+ atoms. In the fifth F1- site, F1- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent Np4+ atoms. In the sixth F1- site, F1- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to two Np4+ atoms. In the seventh F1- site, F1- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Np4+ atoms.

Materials Data on NpF5 by Materials Project

NpF5 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/m space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two NpF5 ribbons oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Np5+ is bonded to six F1- atoms to form corner-sharing NpF6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. There are four shorter (2.02 Å) and two longer (2.25 Å) Np–F bond lengths. There are two inequivalent F1- sites. In the first F1- site, F1- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Np5+ atom. In the second F1- site, F1- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Np5+ atoms.
