Materials Data on TbGe2 by Materials Project

TbGe2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Tb sites. In the first Tb site, Tb is bonded to twelve Ge atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and face-sharing TbGe12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.14–3.56 Å. In the second Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten Ge atoms. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.98–3.17 Å. There are five inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six Tb and two equivalent Ge atoms. Both Ge–Ge bond lengths are 2.58 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Tb and three Ge atoms. There are two shorter (2.51 Å) and one longer (2.53 Å) Ge–Ge bond lengths. In the third Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Tb and four equivalent Ge atoms. All Ge–Ge bond lengths are 2.88 Å. In the fourth Ge site, Ge is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Tb and four equivalent Ge atoms. In the fifth Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six Tb and three Ge atoms.

Materials Data on TbGe by Materials Project

TbGe1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tb is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to seven equivalent Ge atoms. There are five shorter (2.99 Å) and two longer (3.24 Å) Tb–Ge bond lengths. Ge is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to seven equivalent Tb and two equivalent Ge atoms. Both Ge–Ge bond lengths are 2.71 Å.

Materials Data on Tb5Ge4 by Materials Project

Tb5Ge4 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are three inequivalent Tb sites. In the first Tb site, Tb is bonded to six Ge atoms to form corner-sharing TbGe6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 52–54°. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.98–3.14 Å. In the second Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven Ge atoms. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.99–3.64 Å. In the third Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six Ge atoms. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.88–3.07 Å. There are three inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to eight Tb and one Ge atom. The Ge–Ge bond length is 2.74 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to eight Tb and one Ge atom. In the third Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Tb atoms.

Tb3Ge5 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Fdd2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Tb sites. In the first Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten Ge atoms. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.96–3.48 Å. In the second Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to ten Ge atoms. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.98–3.49 Å. There are three inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six Tb and three Ge atoms. There are a spread of Ge–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.58–2.65 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six Tb and two equivalent Ge atoms. In the third Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six Tb and two equivalent Ge atoms.

Tb5Ge3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Tb sites. In the first Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ge atoms. All Tb–Ge bond lengths are 3.09 Å. In the second Tb site, Tb is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.95–3.48 Å. Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine Tb atoms.

In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Tb and two equivalent Ge atoms. Both Ge–Ge bond lengths are 2.56 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tb and five equivalent Ge atoms. There are one shorter (2.50 Å) and four longer (2.82 Å) Ge–Ge bond lengths. In the third Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tb and five equivalent Ge atoms.

There are a spread of Tb–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.09–3.51 Å. There are two inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tb and five Ge atoms. There are a spread of Ge–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.57–2.90 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tb and eight equivalent Ge atoms.
