Materials Data on K4SiO4 by Materials Project

K4SiO4 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are four inequivalent K1+ sites. In the first K1+ site, K1+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form distorted KO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent SiO4 tetrahedra and an edgeedge with one KO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.60–2.70 Å. In the second K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.68–3.25 Å. In the third K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.64–3.14 Å. In the fourth K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.68–2.90 Å. Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent KO4 tetrahedra. There is two shorter (1.67 Å) and two longer (1.68 Å) Si–O bond length. There are four inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to five K1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to five K1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to five K1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to five K1+ and one Si4+ atom.

Materials Data on K6Si2O7 by Materials Project

K6Si2O7 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are three inequivalent K1+ sites. In the first K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.67–2.96 Å. In the second K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.78–2.97 Å. In the third K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.75–2.93 Å. Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.64–1.70 Å. There are four inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to four K1+ and two equivalent Si4+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to five K1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four K1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to five K1+ and one Si4+ atom.

Materials Data on K2Si4O9 by Materials Project

K2Si4O9 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent K1+ sites. In the first K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.70–3.18 Å. In the second K1+ site, K1+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.72–3.25 Å. There are four inequivalent Si4+ sites. In the first Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.58–1.67 Å. In the second Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra. There is three shorter (1.63 Å) and one longer (1.64 Å) Si–O bond length. In the third Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra. All Si–O bond lengths are 1.63 Å. In the fourth Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.58–1.67 Å. There are nine inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to two Si4+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one K1+ and two Si4+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one K1+ and two Si4+ atoms. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one K1+ and two Si4+ atoms. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one K1+ and two Si4+ atoms. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one K1+ and two Si4+ atoms. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one K1+ and two Si4+ atoms. In the eighth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to three K1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the ninth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four K1+ and one Si4+ atom.

Materials Data on KSiO3 by Materials Project

KSiO3 is (Cubic) Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K is bonded to twelve equivalent O atoms to form KO12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent KO12 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent KO12 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent SiO6 octahedra. All K–O bond lengths are 2.60 Å. Si is bonded to six equivalent O atoms to form SiO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent SiO6 octahedra and faces with eight equivalent KO12 cuboctahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Si–O bond lengths are 1.84 Å. O is bonded to four equivalent K and two equivalent Si atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, face, and corner-sharing OK4Si2 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–60°.

Materials Data on K(SiO2)2 by Materials Project

K(SiO2)2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent O atoms. All K–O bond lengths are 3.18 Å. Si is bonded to four O atoms to form corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra. There is three shorter (1.66 Å) and one longer (1.67 Å) Si–O bond length. There are two inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Si atoms. In the second O site, O is bonded in a linear geometry to three equivalent K and two equivalent Si atoms.
