Materials Data on LaPb2 by Materials Project
LaPb2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a distorted q6 geometry to ten equivalent Pb atoms. There are two shorter (3.54 Å) and eight longer (3.60 Å) La–Pb bond lengths. Pb is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent La and four equivalent Pb atoms. All Pb–Pb bond lengths are 3.26 Å.
