The proton induced NIELs for representative spacecraft materials are presented for the energy range between the displacement thresholds of the material to 1000 MeV. All interaction mechanisms (Coulomb and nuclear elastic/inelastic) are fully accounted in the present NIEL calculations.
The proton induced NIEL for representative device materials are presented for the energy range between 1 keV to 1000 MeV.
A method developed for the proton NIEL calculation previously is extended to incident alpha particles in this study: ZBL screened potential for Coulomb interactions and MCNPX 'thin target approximation' for nuclear interactions.
