Materials Data on NaTa3O8 by Materials Project

NaTaO3Ta2O5 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Ibam space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded to eight O2- atoms to form distorted NaO8 hexagonal bipyramids that share edges with two equivalent NaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, edges with two equivalent TaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, and edges with eight equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids. There are four shorter (2.55 Å) and four longer (2.71 Å) Na–O bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ta5+ sites. In the first Ta5+ site, Ta5+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form distorted TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids that share corners with two equivalent TaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, corners with two equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids, edges with two equivalent TaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, edges with four equivalent NaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, and edges with two equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids. There are a spread of Ta–O bond distances ranging from 1.95–2.35 Å. In the second Ta5+ site, Ta5+ is bonded to eight O2- atoms to form distorted TaO8 hexagonal bipyramids that share corners with four equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids, edges with two equivalent NaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, edges with two equivalent TaO8 hexagonal bipyramids, and edges with four equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids. There are four shorter (2.09 Å) and four longer (2.10 Å) Ta–O bond lengths. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one Na1+ and three Ta5+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to three Ta5+ atoms.

Materials Data on Na2Ta4O11 by Materials Project

Na2Ta4O11 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.48–2.75 Å. There are two inequivalent Ta5+ sites. In the first Ta5+ site, Ta5+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form distorted TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids that share corners with two equivalent TaO6 octahedra, corners with two equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids, and edges with four equivalent TaO7 pentagonal bipyramids. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 45°. There are a spread of Ta–O bond distances ranging from 1.98–2.45 Å. In the second Ta5+ site, Ta5+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form corner-sharing TaO6 octahedra. All Ta–O bond lengths are 2.00 Å. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Na1+ and two Ta5+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one Na1+ and three equivalent Ta5+ atoms.

Materials Data on NaTaO3 by Materials Project

NaTaO3 is Orthorhombic Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pna2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.44–2.76 Å. Ta5+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form corner-sharing TaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 20–21°. There is one shorter (1.99 Å) and five longer (2.00 Å) Ta–O bond length. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms.

NaTaO3 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mbm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are four shorter (2.55 Å) and four longer (2.77 Å) Na–O bond lengths. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are four shorter (2.55 Å) and four longer (2.77 Å) Na–O bond lengths. Ta5+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form corner-sharing TaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–21°. All Ta–O bond lengths are 2.00 Å. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to four Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms.

NaTaO3 is Orthorhombic Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.43–3.07 Å. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.57–2.95 Å. Ta5+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form corner-sharing TaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 17–24°. All Ta–O bond lengths are 2.00 Å. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to three Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms.

NaTaO3 crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a hexagonal planar geometry to six equivalent O2- atoms. All Na–O bond lengths are 2.65 Å. Ta5+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form corner-sharing TaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 43°. All Ta–O bond lengths are 2.00 Å. O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta5+ atoms.

Na5TaO5 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are three inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form distorted NaO4 trigonal pyramids that share corners with six NaO5 square pyramids, corners with two equivalent TaO5 trigonal bipyramids, a cornercorner with one NaO4 trigonal pyramid, edges with three NaO5 square pyramids, an edgeedge with one TaO5 trigonal bipyramid, and an edgeedge with one NaO4 trigonal pyramid. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.30–2.45 Å. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded to five O2- atoms to form distorted NaO5 square pyramids that share corners with two NaO5 square pyramids, corners with three equivalent TaO5 trigonal bipyramids, corners with four equivalent NaO4 trigonal pyramids, edges with four NaO5 square pyramids, an edgeedge with one TaO5 trigonal bipyramid, and edges with two equivalent NaO4 trigonal pyramids. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.35–2.47 Å. In the third Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded to five O2- atoms to form distorted NaO5 square pyramids that share corners with two equivalent NaO5 square pyramids, a cornercorner with one TaO5 trigonal bipyramid, corners with four equivalent NaO4 trigonal pyramids, edges with four equivalent NaO5 square pyramids, edges with two equivalent TaO5 trigonal bipyramids, and edges with two equivalent NaO4 trigonal pyramids. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.31–2.48 Å. Ta5+ is bonded to five O2- atoms to form TaO5 trigonal bipyramids that share corners with seven NaO5 square pyramids, corners with four equivalent NaO4 trigonal pyramids, edges with four NaO5 square pyramids, and edges with two equivalent NaO4 trigonal pyramids. There are a spread of Ta–O bond distances ranging from 1.91–2.03 Å. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded to five Na1+ and one Ta5+ atom to form distorted ONa5Ta octahedra that share corners with four equivalent ONa5Ta octahedra, corners with two equivalent ONa4Ta square pyramids, edges with four equivalent ONa5Ta octahedra, and edges with four equivalent ONa4Ta square pyramids. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 16–31°. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded to four Na1+ and one Ta5+ atom to form distorted ONa4Ta square pyramids that share corners with three ONa5Ta octahedra, corners with two equivalent ONa4Ta square pyramids, edges with six ONa5Ta octahedra, and an edgeedge with one ONa4Ta square pyramid. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 31–68°. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded to five Na1+ and one Ta5+ atom to form distorted ONa5Ta octahedra that share corners with four ONa5Ta octahedra, corners with two equivalent ONa4Ta square pyramids, edges with four ONa5Ta octahedra, and edges with four equivalent ONa4Ta square pyramids. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 8–32°.

Na2Ta2O5 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Ima2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.59–3.07 Å. There are two inequivalent Ta4+ sites. In the first Ta4+ site, Ta4+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form corner-sharing TaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 5°. There are a spread of Ta–O bond distances ranging from 1.99–2.02 Å. In the second Ta4+ site, Ta4+ is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four O2- atoms. There is three shorter (1.95 Å) and one longer (1.96 Å) Ta–O bond length. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to four equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta4+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Na1+ and two Ta4+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to four equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Ta4+ atoms.
