Materials Data on PmNi3 by Materials Project

PmNi3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pm is bonded to twelve equivalent Ni atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and face-sharing PmNi12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.88 Å) and six longer (2.93 Å) Pm–Ni bond lengths. Ni is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Pm and six equivalent Ni atoms. There are two shorter (2.46 Å) and four longer (2.55 Å) Ni–Ni bond lengths.
