Materials Data on NpP by Materials Project

NpP is Halite, Rock Salt structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np3+ is bonded to six equivalent P3- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing NpP6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Np–P bond lengths are 2.81 Å. P3- is bonded to six equivalent Np3+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing PNp6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°.

Materials Data on NpP3 by Materials Project

NpP3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np7+ is bonded to twelve equivalent P+2.33- atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and face-sharing NpP12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.71 Å) and six longer (2.97 Å) Np–P bond lengths. P+2.33- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Np7+ and two equivalent P+2.33- atoms. Both P–P bond lengths are 2.40 Å.
