Materials Data on VSiOs2 by Materials Project

VOs2Si is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. V5+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Os+0.50- atoms. All V–Os bond lengths are 2.59 Å. Os+0.50- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent V5+ and four equivalent Si4- atoms. All Os–Si bond lengths are 2.59 Å. Si4- is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Os+0.50- atoms.

Materials Data on V6SiOs by Materials Project

V6OsSi crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. V is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to two equivalent V, two equivalent Os, and two equivalent Si atoms. There are one shorter (2.37 Å) and one longer (2.38 Å) V–V bond lengths. Both V–Os bond lengths are 2.65 Å. Both V–Si bond lengths are 2.66 Å. Os is bonded to twelve equivalent V atoms to form OsV12 cuboctahedra that share edges with six equivalent OsV12 cuboctahedra and faces with eight equivalent SiV12 cuboctahedra. Si is bonded to twelve equivalent V atoms to form SiV12 cuboctahedra that share edges with six equivalent SiV12 cuboctahedra and faces with eight equivalent OsV12 cuboctahedra.
