NASA Pathways Internship 2021-2022 Showcase Presentation
Pathways Showcase discussing work on dual exposure high speed digital camera testing in the Advanced Imaging Analysis Lab (AIAL). Intended for public release.
Branch of Fluid Mechanics concern with the mechanics and properties of gases and its application to engineering systems. Applications of Pneumatics in the Aerospace systems: (1) Flight Hardware - Reaction Control, Systems, Rocket Pressure Fed Systems (2) Ground Operations – Valve Actuation, Inert Environment (Purge), Tube Drying/Cleaning NE-XFPneumatics Engineering provides design & operation expertise to support EGS. Commodities used at KSC systems: Gaseous Helium (GHe) Gaseous Oxygen (GO2) Gaseous Nitrogen (GN2) Breathing Air (BAIR) Support other subsystems: LH2, LO2, Ground Main Propulsion System (GMPS), etc.
An enterprise architecture (EA) is a conceptual blueprint that defines the structure and operation of an organization. The intent of an enterprise architecture is to determine how an organization can most effectively achieve its current and future objectives. A single slide PowerPoint, size 36" x 48" has been produced for printing onto a poster board for display in the Pathways Internship showcase November 2018. This poster board presentation is a display of my internship from 2014 to present, to include my NIFS (NASA Interns, Fellowships, Scholarships) internship, ITSS (Information Technology Support Services) contract, and current Pathways internship. The presentation discusses my years producing deliverables for: the ISS (International Space Station) Anomaly Project in 2014, the FJET (Frangible Joint Empirical Test) database project in 2015, the CUI (Compact Unique Identifier) project in early 2016, and various Enterprise Architecture deliverables and contributions such as the Roadmap SQL (Structured Query Language) stored procedure and architectural views of Program data elements.
Pathway Student Showcase - Environmental Control and Life Support System for Orion Ground and Flight Application Software Team
The National Aeronautics and Aerospace Administration (NASA) relies in the security and protection of the information and information systems to know the devices that are connected to the Agency networks whether these are business, mission, research, or engineering devices. The Agency uses different Information Technology resources in order to do this process automatically, however, there are some devices that need to be reported manually. As a result of this, every month the Agency distributes among its Information System Owners (ISOs) the Manual Asset Inventory, a document that consists of a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with twenty field descriptions cells that has to be filled out by the ISO of every Security Plan in the Center [fifty three in total] and uploaded into the IT Security Enterprise Data Warehouse (ITSEC-EDW).
A poster for the Pathways Student Showcase that includes a description of what Zero Trust Network Security is, the rough timeline for the initial stages of implementation here at KSC, who I am, and what I'm working on.
Poster presentation for the Pathways summer intern showcase. Describes thermal desktop model simulating ISS orbit for a CubeSat scientific mission. The purpose of the simulation is to reaffirm the expected temperature range of some thermal coating samples compared to the state-of-the-art coatings currently used.
I will discuss my role on the pneumatics team supporting Artemis Ground Support Equipment. Specifically, I will cover the calculator I built to ensure that we meet all vehicle requirements for an operation restart decision.
