Materials Data on SmSbPd by Materials Project

SmPdSb is hexagonal omega structure-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm is bonded to six equivalent Pd and six equivalent Sb atoms to form a mixture of face and edge-sharing SmSb6Pd6 cuboctahedra. All Sm–Pd bond lengths are 3.30 Å. All Sm–Sb bond lengths are 3.30 Å. Pd is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sm and three equivalent Sb atoms. All Pd–Sb bond lengths are 2.65 Å. Sb is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sm and three equivalent Pd atoms.

Materials Data on SmSbPd by Materials Project

SmPdSb crystallizes in the trigonal P-3m1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to one Sm, six equivalent Pd, and six equivalent Sb atoms. The Sm–Sm bond length is 3.21 Å. There are three shorter (3.13 Å) and three longer (3.45 Å) Sm–Pd bond lengths. There are three shorter (3.27 Å) and three longer (3.59 Å) Sm–Sb bond lengths. Pd is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sm, three equivalent Pd, and one Sb atom. All Pd–Pd bond lengths are 2.94 Å. The Pd–Sb bond length is 2.85 Å. Sb is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sm, one Pd, and three equivalent Sb atoms. All Sb–Sb bond lengths are 2.92 Å.

Materials Data on SmSb2Pd by Materials Project

SmPdSb2 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Sb+2.50- atoms. There are four shorter (3.30 Å) and four longer (3.33 Å) Sm–Sb bond lengths. Pd2+ is bonded to four equivalent Sb+2.50- atoms to form a mixture of corner and edge-sharing PdSb4 tetrahedra. All Pd–Sb bond lengths are 2.72 Å. There are two inequivalent Sb+2.50- sites. In the first Sb+2.50- site, Sb+2.50- is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Sm3+ and four equivalent Sb+2.50- atoms. All Sb–Sb bond lengths are 3.19 Å. In the second Sb+2.50- site, Sb+2.50- is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Sm3+ and four equivalent Pd2+ atoms.

Pd is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sm and four equivalent Sb atoms. There are three shorter (2.79 Å) and one longer (3.04 Å) Pd–Sb bond lengths. Sb is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sm and four equivalent Pd atoms.
