Materials Data on RbReO2 by Materials Project
RbReO2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/amd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Rb1+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form edge-sharing RbO6 octahedra. There are four shorter (2.70 Å) and two longer (3.19 Å) Rb–O bond lengths. Re3+ is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Re–O bond lengths are 2.03 Å. O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Rb1+ and two equivalent Re3+ atoms.
