Materials Data on ThTeWO7 by Materials Project

ThWTeO7 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Th4+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O2- atoms. There are a spread of Th–O bond distances ranging from 2.36–2.79 Å. W6+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing WO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 3°. There are a spread of W–O bond distances ranging from 1.81–2.29 Å. Te4+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Te–O bond distances ranging from 1.92–1.96 Å. There are seven inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to one W6+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to two equivalent Th4+ and one W6+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Th4+ and two equivalent W6+ atoms. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Th4+ and one Te4+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent W6+ atoms. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to two equivalent Th4+ and one Te4+ atom. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to two equivalent Th4+ and one Te4+ atom.
