Citizen Green #1 Well: Drilling, Deviation, Mud, Whole Core, and Observation Logs

This submission includes drilling logs, mud log, deviation survey, site observation notes, and whole core scans from the Citizen Green #1 well drilled on King Island, CA (API 07720688) as part of the WESTCARB partnership basin characterization effort. These datasets were gathered by JAF but created and compiled by a variety of WESTCARB operations team members and contractors including Sandia Resources, Stratagraphic Corp, John Henry Beyer, Paul Graham Drilling, and Core Labs.

Citizen Green #1 Well: Quantitative XRD & Thin Section Data

This submission includes information on quantitative x-ray diffraction measurements and thin section photography conducted on sidewall cores from the Citizen Green #1 well drilled on King Island, CA (API 07720688) as part of the WESTCARB partnership basin characterization effort. Cores were acquired with a rotary sidewall tool at a range of depths; only deeper cores were sufficiently consolidated for analysis. SidewallCoreFormationDepthNotes.xls provides details on available samples. Helium porosimetry, air permeability, and brine permeability measurements were conducted on all competent samples (~15). Samples were largely in the Mokelumne, H&T shale, and Starkey formations. All measurements were conducted at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Lithologies and Depositional Environments for the NATCARB Saline Reservoirs

This dataset summarize the results of a literature review performed to define the primary lithologies and depositional environments for the target reservoir units defined by the National Carbon Sequestration Database (NATCARB) Saline reservoir 10km Grid data layer, accessible at https://edx.netl.doe.gov/dataset/natcarb. The potential saline storage reservoirs, defined in the Saline 10km Grid layer and in this sheet as "RESOURCE_NAME", were summarized and a literature review was completed to define the primary lithology and depositional environment, and sometimes a secondary lithology and depositional environment for each rock unit. If no verifiable resources were found during the literature review, the primary and secondary lithology and depositional environments were left blank. This file is organized by sheets for each of the 7 Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnerships (RCSP): Big Sky Carbon Sequestration Partnership (BSCSP), the Midwest Geological Sequestration Consortium (MGSC), the Midwest Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (MRCSP), the Plains CO₂ Reduction Partnership (PCOR), the Southeast Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (SECARB), the Southwest Regional Partnership on Carbon Storage (SWP), and the West Coast Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (WESTCARB). The partnerships last updated the NATCARB database in 2015.

Citizen Green #1 Well: MICP and Pycnometry Data, Sidewall Cores

This submission includes information on helium pycnometry & MICP measurements conducted on sidewall sub-samples from the Citizen Green #1 well drilled on King Island, CA (API 07720688) as part of the WESTCARB partnership basin characterization effort. Cores were acquired with a rotary sidewall tool at a range of depths. See the sidewallCore submission for additional formation data.

Citizen Green #1 Well : Sidewall Core Permeability Studies

This submission includes information on porosity & permeability measurements conducted on sidewall cores from the Citizen Green #1 well drilled on King Island, CA (API 07720688) as part of the WESTCARB partnership basin characterization effort. All measurements were conducted by Core Laboratories (Bakersfield) on behalf of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) with final reports provided in November of 2012. Further measurements were conducted on some sidewalls with data in other submissions.
