Materials Data on Zr2Zn by Materials Project
ZnZr2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two ZnZr2 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Zr is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Zn atoms. All Zr–Zn bond lengths are 2.94 Å. Zn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Zr atoms.
