Solid-state switch modeling

A model for predicting voltages and currents of passive loads during turn on and turn off of remote power controllers is presented. The model is concerned with two devices, a five ampere device and a twenty ampere device. The model is presented as a general circuit diagram. The load current is determined by the load parameters and the conditions at switching and the steady state conditions are reached according to time constants determined by the load. The model is used to analyze the turn on and turn off conditions of certain loads including a R-C load and a R-L load.

Development of mathematical models for solid state switching devices

Models are developed for two types of remote power controllers (RPC). The models give the equations for the currents and voltages for all elements of passive loads as a function of time for both turn-on and turn-off. It is shown that the RPC can be considered as a combination of current and voltage sources. Equations are given for these sources which are essentially independent of the load being turned on and off. Experimental results are given for several types of loads and comparisons are made with the results obtained using the models.

A study of nitride devices for computer memory applications

Metal-nitride-oxide-silicon /MNOS/ capacitors act like metal-nitride-silicon /MNS/ capacitors with extra interface where sheet of charge can be stored in slow states. Flatband voltage shifts over a wide range by adjusting store charge density.
