Revisiting 𝐢 and 𝐢⁒𝑃 violation in πœ‚ β†’ πœ‹ + πœ‹ - β’πœ‹ 0 decay

The decay πœ‚ β†’ πœ‹ + β’πœ‹ βˆ’ β’πœ‹ 0 is an ideal process in which to study flavor-conserving 𝐢 and 𝐢⁒𝑃 violation beyond the Standard Model. We deduce the 𝐢- and 𝐢⁒𝑃-odd quark operators that contribute to πœ‚ β†’ πœ‹ + β’πœ‹ βˆ’ β’πœ‹ 0 originating from the mass-dimension-six Standard Model effective field theory. The corresponding hadron-level operators that generate a nonvanishing 𝐼 = 0 amplitude at order 𝑝 6 in the chiral effective theory are presented for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, in addition to the leading-order operators ascribed to the 𝐼 = 2 final state. By fitting the KLOE-2 and the most recent BESIII experimental data, we determine the coefficients of the lowest-order 𝐼 = 0 and 𝐼 = 2 amplitudes and estimate the potential new physics energy scale. We also perform an impact study of the future πœ‚ β†’ πœ‹ + β’πœ‹ βˆ’ β’πœ‹ 0 experiments.

Ceramic matrix composite turbine engine vane

A vane has an airfoil shell and a spar within the shell. The vane has an outboard shroud at an outboard end of the shell and an inboard platform at an inboard end of the shell. The shell includes a region having a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) varying with depth.

Ceramic matrix composite turbine engine vane

A vane has an airfoil shell and a spar within the shell. The vane has an outboard shroud at an outboard end of the shell and an inboard platform at an inboard end of the shell. The shell includes a region having a depth-wise coefficient of thermal expansion and a second coefficient of thermal expansion transverse thereto, the depth-wise coefficient of thermal expansion being greater than the second coefficient of thermal expansion.

Ceramic matrix composite turbine engine vane

A vane has an airfoil shell and a spar within the shell. The vane has an outboard shroud at an outboard end of the shell and an inboard platform at an inboard end of the shell. The spar has a first chamber essentially along the suction side and a second chamber along the pressure side opposite the first chamber.
