Generalized curve fit and plotting (GECAP) program

Program generates graphs on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper and is designed to be used by engineers and scientists who are not necessarily professional programers. It provides fast and efficient method for display of plotted data without having to generate any additional FORTRAN instructions.

Oblique orthographic projections and contour plots

Oblique orthographic projections allow model to be viewed in any selected orientation specified by Euler-angle transformation. This transformation resolves coordinate system of model to principal plane on which display is to be plotted.

TESTPLT: Interactive computer procedure for wind-tunnel-data management, retrieval, comparison, and plotting

A method of maintaining, retrieving, comparing, and plotting wind-tunnel data by means of an interactive remote computer terminal is described. The software associated with the method consists of two procedure files, three computer programs, and a submittal file, all of which are discussed. The procedure was based on maintaining the basic wind-tunnel data files in the Langley standard interface tape (SIFT) format. The SIFT format was not part of the present development. Those features of the format essential to the present use were described. The entire method was illustrated by sample executions from a remote terminal.

An investigation of wing buffeting response at subsonic and transonic speeds. Phase 2: F-111A flight data analysis. Volume 2: Plotted power spectra

Plotted power spectra for all of the flight points examined during the Phase 2 flight data analysis are presented. Detailed descriptions of the aircraft, the flight instrumentation and the analysis techniques are given. Measured and calculated vibration mode frequencies are also presented to assist in further interpretation of the PSD data.

A reduced volumetric expansion factor plot

A reduced volumetric expansion factor plot was constructed for simple fluids which is suitable for engineering computations in heat transfer. Volumetric expansion factors were found useful in correlating heat transfer data over a wide range of operating conditions including liquids, gases and the near critical region.

Driver for solar cell I-V characteristic plots

A bipolar voltage ramp generator which applies a linear voltage through a resistor to a solar cell for plotting its current versus voltage (I-V) characteristic between short circuit and open circuit conditions is disclosed. The generator has automatic stops at the end points. The resistor serves the multiple purpose of providing a current sensing resistor, setting the full-scale current value, and providing a load line with a slope approximately equal to one, such that it will pass through the origin and the approximate center of the I-V curve with about equal distance from that center to each of the end points.

The incorporation of plotting capability into the Unified Subsonic Supersonic Aerodynamic Analysis program, version B

The B01 version of the United Subsonic Supersonic Aerodynamic Analysis program is the result of numerous modifications and additions made to the B00 version. These modifications and additions affect the program input, its computational options, the code readability, and the overlay structure. The following are described: (1) the revised input; (2) the plotting overlay programs which were also modified, and their associated subroutines, (3) the auxillary files used by the program, the revised output data; and (4) the program overlay structure.

Three computer codes to read, plot and tabulate operational test-site recorded solar data

Computer programs used to process data that will be used in the evaluation of collector efficiency and solar system performance are described. The program, TAPFIL, reads data from an IBM 360 tape containing information (insolation, flowrates, temperatures, etc.) from 48 operational solar heating and cooling test sites. Two other programs, CHPLOT and WRTCNL, plot and tabulate the data from the direct access, unformatted TAPFIL file. The methodology of the programs, their inputs, and their outputs are described.
