Adding small amounts of CO 2 or H 2 O to methane pyrolysis boosts hydrogen and carbon yieldsviacyclic catalyst regeneration, enabling efficient low-carbon hydrogen and crystalline carbon production.

Characterization of NBCMA—A DAPO Precursor

As part of our investigation into the process optimization of 2,6-diaminopyrazine-1-oxide (DAPO), small-scale sensitivity testing (impact, friction, and ESD) was conducted on the precursor, N-nitroso-bis(cyanomethyl)amine (NBCMA). NBCMA exhibited moderate sensitivity to friction, whereas no sensitivity to impact or spark was observed.

Nuclear Isomer Discovery Database Released

Nuclear isomers correspond to excited states in nuclides with finite lifetimes. Here, after the discovery of isotopes–different nuclides of the same element–in 1913 by Frederick Soddy [Citation1], Otto Hahn postulated in 1921 [Citation2] that there are even different metastable states within one isotope. In analogy to chemical isomers, which are the same compounds with distinct structures, nuclear isomers have the same number of protons and neutrons but in different configurations.

Reduced salen in a monomeric Fe complex

We report the first monomeric formally M I transition metal salen complex without ion pairing. A combination of spectroscopy, crystallography, and computations indicates that reduction of an Fe II salen complex gives substantial reduced ligand character. We also present a computational method for accurately predicting 57 Fe Mössbauer parameters of Fe salen complexes.
